SUMMARY

Magtron, a business unit of Héroux-Devtek's Aerostructure Division, is involved in the machining and assembly of complex precision parts and structural components incorporating technologies such as 5-axis milling, grinding, aluminum dip-brazing, vacuum-brazing and epoxy bonded structural assembly. Magtron is a provider of precision components and assemblies to the defense and aerospace industries.

Through the use of its metal joining technology, Magtron is an experienced manufacturer, specializing in concurrent engineering and production of hi-tech enclosures and cabinets for the protection of sensitive aeronautical equipment. Theses structural enclosures have specific capabilities in that they possess integral liquid and / or air-cooled heat exchangers. These are highly regarded by the world's leading suppliers of airborne radar, electro-optic systems and electronic warfare systems.

Magtron also manufactures a host of other specialized items for the space and defense industries. These include grapple fixtures for interfacing U.S. Space shuttle and / or Space station with Canadian Canadarm for payload deployment. Magtron is the sole manufacturer of grapple fixtures.

For the defense industry, Magtron supplies a number of assemblies and components used in light armored vehicles. Engineering support is provided from the concept stage onwards to ensure that products meet the customer's requirements. Magtron has the necessary processes to be competitive in its marketplace and remains committed to new equipment and technological advancements.

Magtron is located in Toronto, Ontario, and operates from a 36 000 square-foot plant.
