SUMMARY

The Aerostructure Division of Héroux-Devtek focuses on a complete line of precision machined structural components and assemblies, from simple aluminum parts to large monolithic five-axis complex components made of exotic material such as titanium. With capabilities from small bushings to parts up to 200 feet in length, the division can fulfill the most demanding requirement. Supported by an array of suppliers, it can also deliver complete assemblies and kits.

The division delivers products and services to major OEM's such as Lockheed-Martin Aeronautics, Boeing and Bombardier on all major programs.

The division, employing 250, operates two business units, one in Dorval (Montréal), Québec, and a second, Progressive Inc. in Arlington, Texas, directly manufacturing airframe components and a third, Magtron, based in Toronto, Ontario, dedicated to non airframe structural components.

The Aerostructure Division is involved in the manufacture of large structural components.  

With the two facilities totaling 255,500 square feet, and state-of-the-art equipment, the division has all of the capabilities required to manufacture the most challenging components. The division has several large gantry type machines, one equipped with a 205 feet long bed.  

Héroux-Devtek's Aerostructure Division has developed a sound reputation for high-quality manufacturing, on-time delivery and thorough and quick response to customer needs. All of the division's employees are focused on achieving unparalleled service for its clients.

The Aerostructure Division also shares some activities such as sales and marketing with the Landing Gear Division, thus improving its efficiency and allowing some economies of scale.

The Canadian plant is located in Montreal, just a few miles from the Montréal-Trudeau International Airport. Built in 2000, this new state-of-the-art, 77,000 square foot plant specializes in large structural airframe components and assemblies made of aluminium and titanium. With the capability for doing assembly work, the Dorval plant is well positioned to fulfill the increasing demand of prime contractors for ready-to-install structural sub-assemblies.

The US operations of the division, Progressive Inc. is located in Arlington, Texas, within easy access to both Dallas and Fort-Worth. With a 28 year history, Progressive is dedicated to providing CNC machining solutions for its customers and continually producing high quality parts. Progressive's 152,500 square foot facility is capable of manufacturing complex 3-4-5 axis components and can fulfill the most stringent requirements of its customers. Progressive specializes in the profile milling of complex aluminum and titanium parts used to assemble military and commercial aircraft.
