Design
A team of experienced engineers is dedicated to the design of new landing gear systems and to the improvement of existing ones. Using the latest tools available, the Héroux-Devtek team provides a full range of design services, right up to qualification and testing.

The engineering team maintains up-to-date capabilities, skills and experience in the fields of design, modeling, drafting, structural and dynamic analysis, material and processes as well as testing. The tools available to our engineers include CATIA V5, Pro/ENGINEER, and the MSC suite of analysis softwares. These engineering activities are conducted in a knowledge gathering and sharing environment using the SMARTEAM Product Lifecycle Management solutions.

Héroux-Devtek maintains its own fully integrated testing facility located in the Montréal area. This engineering laboratory is furnished with modern data acquisition equipment, an adaptable hydraulic test bench and a drop test tower allowing for comprehensive testing of any landing gear components.

Manufacturing
Héroux-Devtek's fully integrated facilities and capabilities allow for the manufacture of turnkey landing gear systems and components for a broad range of aircraft. State-of-the-art precision machining and assembly facilities enable complete in-house manufacturing, plating, finishing and assembly of landing gear systems, actuators and complex components.

The electro-plating facility is equipped with large tanks and a wide range of processes to support programs such as the business jet Learjet 45, up to large commercial aircraft such as Boeing 767. In-house expertise includes exotic materials and specialized NDT and plating techniques.

Repair and Overhaul (R &O)
Extensive R & O capabilities allow for the refurbishing of landing gear from both narrow and wide-body aircraft. Rapid turnaround, AOG services, technical support and access to the latest technical manuals are a given at Héroux-Devtek.

Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)
Héroux-Devtek has the necessary network in place to ensure around-the-clock technical support for our customers. Lifecycle tracking forecasts enables us to predict wear and tear on each component, prevents major rework, recommends improvements, and reduces customers' operating costs.

Lean Manufacturing
The Landing Gear Division has embarked on a continuous initiative of specialized lean manufacturing.

The division also eliminates redundancy by:

• Adopting one information system across all sites (BaaN IV);
• Implementing one quality system;
• Synchronized program management;
• Centralized marketing and sales;
• Centralized administration functions.
