Mr. Jean-Louis Fontaine began his career with Bombardier in 1964 as Vice-President Production of its Ski-Doo division, and became Vice-President Transportation Products in 1974. He was named Vice-President Corporate Planning in 1977, a position he held until he became Vice-Chairman in 1988. Mr. Fontaine has been a Director of Heroux-Devtek since 1990. He was a member of the Human Resources and Corporate Governance Committees from 1990 to August 2007, when he was appointed to the Audit Committee. He holds a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from Université de Sherbrooke and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario. He is also a member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec, and serves as a Director of AXA Assurances inc. where he is a member of the Conduct Review and Corporate Governance Committees.
